I finally watched Sherlock over the weekend.

Aside from being shocked at the lack of gay sex and the refreshingly serious tone— I avoided it for so long due to all the Tumblr posts making it seem light and faintly ridiculous— I enjoyed it.

At the moment, a few people on my Twitter feed are talking about the just-announced CBS Sherlock Holmes series.

I have an idea of my own. Please allow me to share.

Crisis on Infinite Holmes

An experiment by Professor Moriarty goes horribly awry and creates a partial multiversal collapse. This collapse causes the different versions of Holmes and Watson to exist in the same reality.

This new reality is unstable. The Holmes and Watson of the various realities must join forces, combining their considerable skills and talents to combat Moriarty and return the multiverse to its proper order.

Our cast includes the classic Doyle version. The Moffat version. The Great Mouse Detective. Robert Downey Jr. And, of course, the Sherlock Holmes of the 22nd century.
